Hong Kong filmmaker GORDON CHAN has replaced REGINALD HUDLIN as director of the upcoming JACKIE CHAN flick HIGHBINDERS.

Hudlin recently ankled the film, because of creative differences, says BEY LOGAN, the film's associate producer. Logan denied talk that Hudlin quit because of doubts about the film's financing. Logan says, "We had hoped to co-operate with a Hollywood director on the project.

"Unfortunately, things didn't work out with REGGIE (Hudlin) and the other directors that we wanted proved unavailable. " Highbinders centres on an immigration officer who's killed on the job but returns from the dead with superpowers. Filming begins 16 July (01) in Hong Kong and Ireland. (RP/WNWR/ES)
