Ageing hunk JOHN TRAVOLTA is still in the running to reprise his role as CHILI PALMER in the sequel to hit movie GET SHORTY (1995).

Rumours had been rife that Travolta's excessive wage demands had priced him out of the running for the movie, BE COOL.

But movie chiefs say that Travolta is still their choice to star in the sequel. CHRIS MCGURK, the vice-chairman and chief operating officer of MGM, says, "We've had only preliminary discussions with Travolta's agent, but we want to have him back. "We know John's very interested. He was incredible as Chili Palmer, and if you've read the second book, you know it's about Chili getting into the music business. There's no reason to think he won't be in it. " (RP/WNWCAN/KMW)
