Mel Gibson's Company Plans Scottish Highlands Thriller

MEL GIBSON's film company is producing a thriller set in the Scottish Highlands.

THE BOTHY is a story about a serial killer who escapes from the FBI and ends up with a dozen hill walkers in a remote Scottish mountain hut.

Scottish film industry bosses are hopeful some of the filming will be done on location in the Highlands, bringing work to Scottish actors.

The film is to be made by ICON FILMS, the company behind Gibson's movies Ransom (1996), Payback (1999), WHAT WOMEN WANT (2000) and BRAVEHEART (1996).

KIRSTEN DUNST is expected to play a leading role in The Bothy. (PDD/WNSOS)
