LATEST: COLUMBIA PICTURES have been blasted for using their own marketing executives to pose as audience members for TV adverts.
The exposure of the cheat comes as an added blow to SONY, who own Columbia, after they suspended two advertising executives who created a fake critic to boost film publicity earlier this month (JUN01).
In television commercials for the MEL GIBSON and HEATH LEDGER historical epic PATRIOT, the (2000), various executives pretended to be fans raving about how good the movie was. (ES/WNE/KW)
