Movie studio MIRAMAX FILMS has clinched the American and English-speaking Canadian rights to SON'S ROOM, the (2001) - the big winner at this year's (01) CANNES FILM FESTIVAL.

The PALME d'OR winner is a drama about the pain and grief of a family coming to terms with the loss of a son.

Director NANNI MORETTI, who co-produced and co-wrote the film, co-stars with SILVIO ORLANDO. A Miramax spokeswoman says American release dates for the film are yet to be set. (RGS/U/ES)
