Just like in his latest hit PEARL HARBOR (2001), BEN AFFLECK would beat up his best friend if he slept with his girlfriend in real life.
In MICHAEL BAY's WWII-drama JOSH HARTNETT's character DANNY starts a romance with nurse EVELYN played by KATE BECKINSALE, after they get the news that Ben's character RAFE has been shot down in England. But to everyone's surprise Rafe returns.
"Like in the movie I would give my best friend a good slapping. But seriously, I really wouldn't know what to do. I'm glad to say that such an experience has never happened to me yet. It is tough when your best friend sleeps with your lady. My best friend MATT DAMON wouldn't do such a thing. But the first thing I'd ask him if he did would be, Wow, Matt! Are you straight?"'
