One of Hollywood's most anticipated movies, HOURS, The (2001), has already disappointed hordes of film experts - because it won't be unveiled in time to qualify for the 2001 OSCARs.
The book on which the film is based earned the 1998 PULITZER PRIZE for novelist MICHAEL CUNNINGHAM, and work on the star-studded movie wrapped in June (01).
A tentative date hasn't even been set yet for the picture, which stars MERYL STREEP, NICOLE KIDMAN, JULIANNE MOORE and ED HARRIS, and is helmed by BILLY ELLIOT director STEPHEN DALDRY. (RGS/LA/RP)
