Next year's (02) must-see movie SPIDER-MAN (2002) has been forced to withdraw its trailer - which includes the tragic TWIN TOWERS. Due to the terrorist events on Tuesday (11SEP01) the scene featuring TOBEY MAGUIRE as the webbed hero, climbing a web between the two skyscrapers has been scrapped, after the WORLD TRADE CENTER's gigantic centrepieces were completely destroyed.

SONY PICTURES ENTERTAINMENT and MARVEL ENTERTAINMENT will meet to discuss the movie, currently in post-production, as the now-past Manhattan skyline features prominently in the live action film. The flick is set to be released in May (02), but alterations to the new strangely empty Big Apple skyline could takes months. (ES/WNTSU&WN/PDD)
