Hollywood star JIM CARREY donating $1 million (£750,000) to the families of WORLD TRADE CENTER disaster victims. The rubber-faced actor - worth a reputed $153 million (£118 million) - said in a statement that he hoped his generosity would encourage other donations.
The Canadian-born star described his "deepest sympathy" at the victims' families' "unredeemable personal losses. " Carrey is just one of a range of film and music stars contributing to AMERICA - A TRIBUTE TO HEROES, a two-hour country- wide telethon on Friday night (21Sep01). (AH/WNWCZ/BRC)
