Filming of the Hollywood adaption of the first HARRY POTTER book has commenced - in unglamorous Bracknell, Berkshire, England.

Masses of actors, animals, cameras and 70 technical staff descended on the town's Picket Post Close, transforming it into Privet Drive - schoolboy wizard Harry's home.

An excited onlooker says, "I can't believe they are filming my favourite book just round the corner from my house. (JM/WNTST)
