Serial womanising actor GEORGE CLOONEY is so smitten with his new waitress love he has given her a part in his directorial debut. The movie hunk, 40, has fallen for pretty Maria Bertrand and has been enjoying nights out with the brunette in her native Montreal, Canada, where Clooney is filming his directorial debut CONFESSIONS OF A DANGEROUS MIND (2002) with JULIA ROBERTS and BRAD PITT.

And Bertrand now has a small speaking part as a game show contestant in the bio-pic of American TV personality-turned-spy Chuck Barris. Clooney first spotted Bertrand at Montreal's Globe restaurant, where she works. A production source on the film says, "The producers are happy George is going steady with her. She seems to be keeping him out of trouble. She was thrilled when he asked her out. "
