Ryder Sure To Be Found Innocent

WINONA RYDER's attorney is convinced the actress's court hearing on Thursday (14th March 2002) on shoplifting charges will prove the actress is innocent. Mark Geragos was in court in Los Angeles yesterday (11th March 2002) setting a date for the full trial and he insists Ryder - who was arrested in December (2001) - will be acquitted.

Geragos says, "I've got receipts that show that she charged thousands of dollars worth of items that day, I've got prescriptions, and I've also seen the surveillance tape. What's been reported and what everybody seems to assume is fact is just not true. "

The actress pleaded innocent to all charges last month (Fberuary 2002) during a pre-trial hearing. Ryder will stand trial on grand theft, burglary, vandalism and possession of a controlled substance charges.
