Bookmakers have tipped Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring (2001) to win seven Oscars at Sunday's (24 March 2002) ceremony.
Bookies had previously thought Russell Crowe's Beautiful Mind, A (2001) was guaranteed the Best Picture prize, but an influx of bets on the hit sci-fi film have persuaded Cantor Index it is still a two-horse race.
They also predict an upset in the Best Actor category, with
Denzel Washington expected to pip Russell Crowe.
