Cooper Owen are holding an auction of movie memorabilia in London

Ever fancied swooping down into the trench of the Death Star? Skimming across the sandy dunes of Tattooine? Navigating the foggy, boggy marshes of Dagobah? Well tough, you can't, because none of those places exist. But with a vivid enough imagination and a genuine Star Wars pilot's seat, you might be able to fool yourself momentarily. Cooper Owen are holding an auction of movie memorabilia in London on 30 July and lots include the aforementioned pilot's seat from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999) (expected to fetch £1,500-£2,000), a wig worn by Christopher Reeve in Superman III (you didn't really think he was that nerdy, did you?) and a camouflage hat, trousers and stunt gun used by Ewan McGregor in Black Hawk Down (2002). But the real crown jewels are… the crown jewels. Actually, an officially authorised version of Elizabeth I's crown jewels, used in Elizabeth (1998) and expected to go for £10,000-£15,000. Quite who authorised them, we're not sure.
