Kate Hudson has agreed to star in a new Disney comedy called Raising Helen.

Hudson will play the assistant to the head of a modeling agency, who is about to be promoted.

Her world is turned upside down when her sister and brother-in-law die in a car crash, and she is left to care for their three children.

Garry Marshall will be directing the film which goes into production in February
