DiCaprio Pressure On Bush

The Earth Summit takes place later this month and Leonardo DiCaprio is trying to get his point across to George W Bush and White House bureaucrats.

He is urging them to take note that the United States is the world's worst polluter and should join other countries that are joining at the Earth Summit in South Africa to try and protect the planet for future generations.

DiCaprio made his feelings known at a Global Green USA rally, and added his disapproval that the Bush administration has refused to have anything to do with Kyoto Protocol, an international climate treaty which aims to cut the production of harmful by-products into the environment.

DiCaprio stated that, "despite the fact that we are the biggest economy and the biggest polluter" we are reluctant to accept our responsibilities and join other world leaders in trying to save the planet.
