Ford and Flockhart deny engagement

A spokesman for Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart says the couple have not got engaged.
It follows reports that Ford had bought a ring for Flockhart who is 23 years his junior.

In an interview with the News of the World's Sunday magazine, the Ally McBeal star says Ford comes from a dying breed of "real" men.

She says she had found the man of her dreams.

She said: "He was my action man hero - now he's my real life hero. I can't believe how lucky I am."

The 37-year-old star denies Ford, 60, was too old for her, saying: "Too old for what?

"
He's a real man in a time when real men, from what I saw of the single life, are a dying breed. He's intelligent, fun, sophisticated - a modern-day Cary Grant. Any woman would be glad to have him on her arm ... I'm not just glad, I'm damned grateful!"

Despite the denial of an engagement, Ford's mother Dorothy has said: "
Calista will make my son a great wife."
