Free Willy To Get Winter Home

Keiko the orca whale, star of movie Free Willy (1993), is set to stay in Norway for the winter. The six ton whale was released to the wild in Iceland earlier this summer but has made his way to Norway's Skaalvik fjord.

Keiko was captured near Iceland at the age of two and then ended up in a Mexico City amusement park. He was rescued in 1996 and taken to the Oregon Coast Aquarium for a programme of rehabilitation. He was then released into the wild in Iceland with the help of funding by mobile phone pioneer Craig McCaw who contributed $10 million.

Canadian trainer Colin Baird says they expect to move him to his winter home next week by getting him to follow a small boat and tempting him with fish.
