Winona Would 'Rather Die' Than Go To Jail

Winona Ryder has made a personal plea to a judge Elden Fox not to send her to prison after she was found guilty of stealing goods worth $5,500 (£3,500) from an exclusive department store in Beverly Hills.

The Hollywood actress it seems has now realised the reality of her predicament and the thought of being locked away. British tabloid, The Daily Sport has reported that she told a friend, "I just want to curl up in a ball, open my eyes and everything goes away. I really can't take any more. This is the worst experience of my life. How could anyone come to terms with being locked up. I really, really don't want to go there. I would be the victim of sexual abuse and God knows what else. My career in Hollywood is on the line, surely that's enough punishment in the circumstances? I would sooner die rather than face the prospect of being kept behind bars like some sort of caged animal."

Ryder is due to be sentenced on the 6th December and she could face a possible three years behind bars. It is unlikely however that the Edward Scissorhands (1990) star will go to prison.
