British comic Ali G escaped a stray bullet in Israel after two guests in an adjoining hotel room killed themselves.

Sacha Baron Cohen - the man behind the spoof hip-hop character - was asleep in his Tel Aviv hotel room when a bullet hit his window on Monday.

Police said the two dead men, 19 and 24, left suicide notes.
