Clooney going to Scotland for film shoot

George Clooney is coming to Scotland to film a Hollywood blockbuster.

Two big names are set to be unveiled in Glasgow as the stars of an action-packed thriller, it is understood.

Clooney has already visited Bathgate and Broxburn, in West Lothian, searching for locations for the film, believed to be a psychological drama about a Vietnam veteran who is wrongly accused of a crime.

The co-producer of the unnamed film will join leaders from Scotland's film quango, Scottish Screen, for the announcement on Wednesday.

Scottish Executive culture minister Frank McAveety will also attend the press conference.
