Troubled rocker Courtney Love surrendered to police in Beverly Hills, California, on Tuesday - to face drug possession charges stemming from her arrest earlier this month. The former Hole frontwoman, 39, was charged with possession of prescription painkillers hydrocodone and oxycodone. Prosecutors say Love, who lost custody of her 11-year-old daughter Frances Bean after her arrest, is expected to appear in court for an arraignment on the charges. It is currently unknown if she will faces a custodial sentence if convicted - but Sandi Gibbons, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office, says the singer could be eligible for a drug diversion program which would spare her from a prison sentence.
