Paltrow and Madden team up for new film

Gwyneth Paltrow has teamed up with fellow Oscar winner John Madden for a screen adaptation of David Auburn's Proof.

It comes four years after the pair worked together on Shakespeare in Love which won seven Oscars.

Proof is an award-winning drama that explores the links between genius and madness and the relationship between fathers and daughters.

Madden, whose other credits include Mrs Brown with Dame Judi Dench, directed Paltrow in the London Donmar Warehouse production of the play last year.

The film, whose cast includes another Oscar-winner, Sir Anthony Hopkins, is being shot in London and Chicago for eight weeks, says The Times.

It is being made as Paltrow's latest film, Sylvia - based on the marriage of the poets Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes - is screened at the London Film Festival.
