Allen Leaving Microsoft Board
Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen said Thursday that he plans to leave the board of the software company in order to concentrate on expanding his burgeoning cable empire and other businesses.
In a statement, Microsoft CEO Bill Gates acknowledged that Allen "was instrumental in the creation of Microsoft and has played an important role in the success" of the company.
