Brad Pitt and Matt Damon caught in fire drama

A fire has broken out at Claridges hotel in London, disrupting plans for Brad Pitt and Matt Damon to promote Ocean's 12.

The small fire is thought to have broken out at the Mayfair hotel's kitchen.

Four fire engines were called to the scene and all the guests are thought to have been evacuated, including Pitt and Damon, who were scheduled to give a press conference about the movie sequel at in the hotel's ballroom.

A London Fire Brigade spokesman said: "Four fire engines were sent to the scene after a call. They are still there. I believe there was a small fire on the ground floor, probably in the kitchen area."

Sandra Burr, 58, said she was standing outside the hotel in the hope of getting an autograph from Jim Carrey, who is also in London promoting his film Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events.

She said: "I saw Jim Carrey, Mick Jagger and Matt Damon all leave the building."

Gordon Ramsay runs the restaurant at the hotel reports the Evening Standard.
