Scarlett Johansson has revealed she was rejected from stage school at the age of seven.

She said: "I saw my whole future crumble before me. My mother took me and my siblings to this talent agency. But they only wanted my older brother. I was devastated.

"I remember crying outside and my mom said: 'If you really want to pursue this, it's a serious commitment. Maybe you should do something else, like tap-dance lessons'."
