Jude 'sacks agent after Rock's Oscar joke'

Jude Law has reportedly sacked his Hollywood agent in the wake of a jibe by Oscar host Chris Rock at this year's ceremony.

The 32-year-old Alfie star fired his agent at CAA and hired a new agent, Patrick Whitesell at rival company Endeavor, following Rock's comment that Law was in every single movie this year.

The US comic also chided Law for being less than a "real" movie star.

"CAA made Jude and he can't take a joke," an insider told the New York Post.

But, sources close to Law deny his move to Endeavor was anything to do with Rock's comments saying he has been quietly planning the switch for the past two weeks.

Law appeared in several movies last year including Alfie, I Heart Huckabees, Closer, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and a supporting role as Errol Flynn in The Aviator.
