Will Smith is to star in a movie about a disaffected superhero having a mid-life crisis.

Tonight, He Comes will be directed by Jonathan Mostow, reports Variety.

Columbia Pictures is aiming to start production in Los Angeles by next summer.

Smith just completed starring for Columbia with son Jaden and Thandie Newton in The Pursuit of Happyness, a Gabrielle Muccino-directed drama.

Mostow will push back two projects, Swiss Family Robinson and Terminator 4, to make the film.
