Jessica Simpson has revealed she has been offered the lead role in new film Blonde Ambition.

The film is inspired by the 1980s film Working Girl starring Melanie Griffith.

According to Empire magazine, she said: "It's definitely the theme of Working Girl. This small-town girl moving to New York City and rising up into this great career as a businesswomen. But it's definitely not a remake."

She added: "I've never had the leading role and with this one it's really going to be nice to just dive in and kinda wrap my arms around it."
