Susan Sarandon has joined the cast of In the Valley of Elah.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Tommy Lee Jones and Charlize Theron have already been cast in the movie.

The film follows a veteran father (Jones) in search of his son, a soldier who recently returned from Iraq and has mysteriously disappeared. Sarandon will play Jones' wife.

Shooting is scheduled to take place this month in New Mexico and Morocco.
