Like most local TV newscasts, NBC's Saturday Night Live will be going for a male-female anchor team for its "Weekend Update" segment of Saturday Night Live, the New York Daily News reported today (Friday).

Tina Fey, a former member of Chicago's Second City who became the show's first female head writer last year, will join three-year SNL veteran Jimmy Fallon at the anchor desk for the season debut on Saturday.
