Who Killed Wild Life?

Disney animation chief Tom Schumacher has taken responsibility for shelving the computer-animated Wild Life and has denied that "an inappropriate adult sensibility" had anything to do with the expensive cancellation.

In an interview with the online magazine Inside, which reported Thursday that Disney Vice chairman Roy Disney had scrubbed the project, Schumacher said that he had made the decision because the "story just wasn't strong enough."

Asked why it had taken so long to figure that out, he replied, "You want to make sure you've given the film every possible break." As for the adult content, he said that any inappropriate material could have been deleted.
