Stephen Baldwin arrested over unpaid tax.

Actor Stephen Baldwin has been arrested in New York over failure to file personal income taxes.

The felony charge means that the 'Usual Suspects' star could face up to four years in prison.

The district attorney at Rockland County has said that Baldwin failed to pay tax from 2008, 2009 and 2010 to the sum of $350,000.

"At a time when Rockland County and New York State face severe fiscal shortfalls, we cannot afford to allow wealthy residents to break the law by cheating on their taxes," said DA Thomas Zugibe.

"The defendant's repetitive failure to file returns and pay taxes over a period of several years contributes to the sweeping cutbacks and closures in local government and in our schools."

Baldwin previously filed for bankruptcy in 2009, and will appear in court in February.

The actor, who became a born-again Christian following the 9/11 attacks, appeared on the UK version of 'Celebrity Big Brother' in 2010.

He was the first person to enter the house, and the fourth to be evicted.
