Channing Tatum looks set to star in new movie Bad Romance.

The Magic Mike actor is currently in early talks about the role and would also produce the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

So far little is known about the project, which will be written and directed by Jonathan Levine.

Channing, 33, has been open about his desire to get behind the scenes on his movies, producing as well as acting.

It was recently revealed that he is also set to star in and produce a film about daredevil Evel Knievel.

The actor is currently shooting the 21 Jump Street sequel.
