Stars kept Thor 2 plot under wraps.

Tom Hiddleston has admitted it was sometimes hard to keep the plot of the Thor sequel under wraps.

The English actor and his co-stars in Disney and Marvel's Thor: The Dark World (2013) had to remain tight-lipped about the movie because the filmmakers wanted the story to be a secret.

Speaking at the premiere in Tinseltown, Tom joked to The Hollywood Reporter: "I still feel like I can't tell you anything, and the film's coming out in four days!"

The actor, who reprises the role of Loki, said he does think it works well keeping the plot from fans.

"I love going to the cinema and being surprised by things, and so I think it's good that people don't know," he said.

"We made this film a year ago in London, and you get so excited about things that are happening, but you can't tell a soul, and that's hard, sometimes."

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who plays the villain Algrim, joked that he's missing his bodyguards now that the movie is finished.

"I had bodyguards everywhere I went, from the trailer to the set...," he said. "I feel very lonely now that the movie's over."

Kat Dennings, who stars as intern Darcy Lewis, added: "My agents, who are here tonight, still haven't read the script or seen the movie - that's how good at I am at keeping a secret."

Thor: The Dark World also stars Chris Hemsworth, Jaimie Alexander, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba and Christopher Eccleston.
