Battling constant drenching and seasickness in A PERFECT STORM was nothing compared to MARK WAHLBERG's challenge in his latest film -listening to heavy metal music.

The former teen heart throb star, who plays an office salesman by day and heavy metal singer by night in METAL GOD, in which he co-stars with JENNIFER ANISTON, says he hated the hours of having to listen to heavy metal music.

Wahlberg says, "It's the most painful thing my ears have everexperienced." But, ever professional, Wahlberg managed to put his preferences aside and got into character by plugging into heavy metal every spare moment he got. He says, "I listen to it all day, all night." (LE/JF/PDD)
