Murdoch Papers Reveal Survivor Site

Australian newspapers owned by Rupert Murdoch have revealed the secret location site of the second Survivor series.

One paper, The Advertiser, reported: "A camp site is to be portrayed as an isolated wilderness hell." The newspaper said that it is located about 80 miles south of Cairns, Australia on the crest of the Herbert River Falls, adjacent to a national park.

The Advertiser quoted a spokesman for the Queensland Environment Minister as saying that strict conditions had been placed on the show's producers to ensure the protection of the park's ecology. It also quoted locals as expressing skepticism that the area provides enough wild game to allow them to live off the land.

However, another Murdoch newspaper, The Australian, said that the area featured a few "non-man-eating" crocodiles, wild pigs, and barramundi fish. A CBS spokesman declined to comment on the reports.
