Biography

Bill Eagles began his screen career as a documentary maker. Among his credits for the BBC are; Absurdistan which won the BFI John Grierson Award in 1993, Let There Be Love, which used drama and documentary footage to explore the relationships of comedy duos and Barlow Regan Pyall and Fancy, a one hour programme about the dramatisation of police work on TV. In 1995, Eagles graduated from the BBC Drama Directors Course, directing a fifteen-minute short dramaThe Arnold Crombeck Story, written by Patrick McGrath, which was screened on BBC2 in 1996. Recent TV drama credits include Peak Practice, the half hour drama Danny’s Story, written by Paula Milne and the award-winning Touching Evil.
