Matt Reeves - Details

Biography

Matt Reeves has worked in both film and television. His first feature was Miramax's "The Pallbearer," starring David Schwimmer, Gwyneth Paltrow and Barbara Hershey. The film was an official selection for Un Certain Regard in the 1996 Cannes Film Festival. In 1998 he co-created and directed the pilot for the television series "Felicity," starring Keri Russel. The series, which was awarded a Golden Globe, is currently finishing its second season.

Born in Rockville Center, New York and raised in Los Angeles, Reeves became interested in filmmaking as a child; he began making short films at the age of eight. He attended film school at the University of Southern California, where he wrote and directed an award-winning black comedy sort entitled, "Mr. Petrified Forrest."
