Beck’s television work includes Buffy the Vampire Slayer, for which he received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Music in a Television Series, as well as The Practice, Angel, and the themes and scores for numerous other television series and movies.
The Canadian-bred composer studied with Jerry Goldsmith at USC’s scoring program, and has composed two full-length musicals with his brother Jason, as well as an opera based on Edgar Allan Poe’s The Tell-Tale Heart.
