Biography

TONY HAYGARTH, a veteran of the British stage and screen, has previously appeared in such films as "The Woodlanders," "Amy Foster," "Prince of Jutland," "The Trial," "London Kills Me," "Dracula," "Clockwise," "MacVicar," "Agatha," "A Private Function" and "The Human Factor," among others.

He was most recently seen in the TNT Cable movie "Don Quixote," starring John Lithgow. His television work also includes "The Infiltrator," for which he was nominated for a Cable ACE Award, "Sharpe's Justice," "Where the Heart Is," "Sharpe's Enemy," "Boys From the Blackstuff," "Our Friends in the North," "Two Gentlemen of Verona," "Ivanhoe," "Holocaust" and "I, Claudius."

Nominated for an Olivier Award for his work in "Twelve Angry Men" and "The Tempest," Haygarth also won the Clarence Derwent Award for "Simpatico." His many stage credits also include "The Triumph of Love," "Art," "No Man's Land," "The Hothouse," "The Merchant of Venice," "Macbeth," "Cymbeline," "A Lie of the Mind," "She Stoops to Conquer," "Glengarry Glen Ross," "The Crucible," "The Iceman Cometh," "The Devil's Disciple," "Hamlet," "As You Like It" and "The Caucasian Chalk Circle." He has also written a number of plays, including "The Hard Stool," "God's Chorus Girls," "Into a Madman's Rags," "Bitten!" and "God's Poor Fool."
