Biography

MONGO BROWNLEE began his acting career while still a member of the U.S. Air Force. While stationed at a base in California, he spent his leaves seeking an agent and acting work in Los Angeles.

He landed his first professional job opposite rap artist Dr. Dre in a music video for the artist's recording of "Hour of Chaos." Brownlee made his motion picture debut in "Night Watch," starring Nick Nolte and Patricia Arquette, then gained notoriety in the featured role of Ajax, one of a group of murderous prisoners who commandeer an aircraft in the action hit "Con Air." Among his other motion picture credits are "Bulworth," "Riot" and "Forever In Love."

Brownlee guest-starred on two episodes each of "NYPD Blue" and "Pacific Blue." His other television credits include "Babylon 5," "Total Security," "Mike Hammer," "Night Man," "VIP," "The Jamie Foxx Show" and "Forever In Love."
