Biography

MICHAEL EWING is currently partnered with Peter Segal in Greenhaven Films. Serving as president, Ewing oversees the development of numerous feature film and television projects for Greenhaven, which recently signed a two-year first-look deal with Imagine and Universal. The first picture under the new contract is a remake of The Incredible Shrinking Man, starring Eddie Murphy.

Ewing began his career in New York studying with Stella Adler and Lee Strasberg at the Actor's Studio. He went on to direct and co-produce several off-Broadway plays before turning his attention to feature films. Ewing met producer Robert K. Weiss and director David Zucker on the hit comedy The Naked Gun, starring Leslie Nielsen and Priscilla Presley. He re-teamed with Weiss and Zucker as associate producer on the next two successful sequels, Naked Gun 2-1/2 and Naked Gun 33-1/3, where he first worked with director Peter Segal. Ewing went on to serve as associate producer and co-producer respectively on the director's next two features, the hit Tommy Boy starring Chris Farley and David Spade, and the critically-acclaimed My Fellow Americans starring Jack Lemmon, James Garner, Dan Aykroyd and Lauren Bacall.
