Biography

Nicholas Tse is one of the hottest young stars in Hong Kong. A top-selling singer, he enjoys enthusiastic polularity among a wide spectrum of fans. As an actor he has proven to be both a box-office draw and a performer with considerable skills, winning the 'Best New Performer Award' at the '18th Hong Kong Film Awards' for his big screen debut in "Young and Dangerous".

Born into a show-business family his father is the Hong Kong film star Tse Tin, Nicholas aspired to a career in entertainment from an early age. He left school at 16 to pursue music and soon thereafter was recording and performing with excellent commercial success.

His debut album, "My Attitude," was released in 1997 and immediately hit the number 3 position in the charts, going on to become platinum. His concerts throughout Asia have been sell-outs, and he has garnered multiple awards for popularity, including Best Singer and Best New Talent in award shows in Hong Kong, China and Malaysia.

His talent and popularity were further confirmed in 1999, when he starred in four motion pictures, including the big-budget special-effects film Chinese Hero and the youth-oriented action drama Generation-X Cops.
