Biography

NED DOWD recently served as head of production of Caravan Pictures, where he oversaw a production slate of 32 feature films including the box-office hits "While You Were Sleeping" and "Angels in the Outfield." Prior to that, Dowd produced "The Three Musketeers, The Last of the Mohicans, State of Grace" and "Let It Ride."

Dowd has served as assistant director/production manager on 34 films including "Hoffa, I'll Do Anything, Other People's Money" and "No Mercy." In addition, he produced the HBO movie "Lip Service," which won an ACE award for best theatrical special.

A former professional hockey player, Dowd began his film career in 1975 on the film "Slap Shot." Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, he received his graduate degree from McGill University in Montreal.

Dowd most recently produced Disney's "The Thirteenth Warrior," directed by John McTiernan and starring Antonio Banderas, and the upcoming "Shanghai Noon" for Spyglass Entertainment.
