Screenwriter VERA BLASI wrote WOMAN ON TOP during the last year of her residency at the American Film Institute. It was optioned by Fox Searchlight shortly after she completed it. WOMAN ON TOP is her first produced screenplay. Blasi is currently working on the American remake of "Eat, Drink, Man, Woman" for Samuel Goldwyn.
Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Blasi moved with her family to New York at age 11. She later moved to San Francisco where she attended the College of Notre Dame in Belmont, California. Blasi currently lives in Los Angeles.
