Biography

SAAR KLEIN earned an Academy Award® nomination for Best Film Editing (shared with Billy Weber and Leslie Jones) for his work on Terrence Malick's Thin Red Line, The (1998). In addition, he was honored by his peers with a nomination for the American Cinema Editors "Eddy" Award for his work on the World War II drama. He also served an an additional editor on Oliver Stone's UTurn (1997)

He previously collaborated with Joe Hutshing on the editing of a concert film for the band Pearl Jam.

In addition, Klein edited the documentary feature "Endurance," about famed Olympic champion runner Haile Gebrselassie, which was produced by Terrence Malick, as well as the feature film For Which He Stands
