Biography

ANDREW DUNN, B.S.C. includes among his many film credits Practical Magic, Every After, L.A. Story, The Crucible, The Bodyguard, Blame It On the Bellboy, Chattahoochie, Simple Twist of Fate and The Madness of King George, for which he won the Best Technical Achievement Award at the London Evening Standard Film Awards, a BAFTA nomination and the BSC Best Cinematography Award in 1995. He has since lensed Ordinary Decent Criminals starring Kevin Spacey.

Dunn was cinematographer on more than 20 films for the BBC, including Tumbledown, Edge of Darkness and Threads. All three won him British Academy Awards. He was also nominated for The Monocled Mutineer.

Born in London, Dunn attended Christ College and London Polytechnic Film School. He started to make his own films as a teenager and began his professional career in the cutting room. He later segued into the position of director of photography.
