For television, Dobrowolski has worked as production designer on the children’s special Peter and the Wolf; the telefilms Scam, Chain Letters, and The Darkling; episodes of the syndicated series Monsters; and the pilot for the forthcoming series Invisible Man. He was also visual consultant for Christopher Menaul’s HBO telefilm Fatherland; and has served as production designer on a variety of television commercials, working with directors including David Lynch, Bob Giraldi, and Stan Dragoti.
The Warsaw native has also worked on music videos; and designed the sets, costumes, and lights for theater, opera, and ballet. He began his career working on Cannon Films’ movie series of fairy tales, completing nine productions in Italy and Israel within two years’ time.
