Biography

SIDNEY J. BARTHOLOMEW JR. reunites with the Farrelly Brothers after his collaboration with the pair on "[Dumb &
Dumber (1994)]," "Kingpin (1996)," "There's Something About Mary (1998)" and "Me, Myself & Irene (2000). "

Bartholomew is a visual stylist and painter whose career encompasses work in films, television, music videos and TV commercials in addition to his unique designs for theme park attractions and animation.

The North Carolina native graduated from the University of North Carolina and began his design career as an art director and production designer in the music video and commercial fields. Among countless
videos, he won an MTV Award nomination for George Harrison's I've Got My Mind Set on You. His credits also include videos for such legendary artists as Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Idol, Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd, Bon Jovi, Heart, Yes and many more.
Bartholomew also served as art director for the innovative children's
series, "Pee Wee's Playhouse," winning an Emmy Award for his
imaginative designs on the show. In addition, he wrote, directed and
designed two children's musicals for which he received a Parent's
Magazine Award.

He recently designed a series of TV spots for the Fila Shoe company featuring basketball star Grant Hill. He has also consulted for Film Roman, the company behind FOX-TV's "The Simpsons," and NBC's On-Air Promotions department. Other credits include a number of short films and commercial spoofs seen on "Saturday Night Live. " When not working in the entertainment arena, Bartholomew exhibits his own works of art in galleries around the country.
